i've seen them going for 535 for the epi lp std plus after 50% off saw lots of ppl getting that

ohh okay thx. still outta my budget of 400 ... i saw them at bras basah last year for 800 though...so at katong right now the list price is 1070 :/ marked up like 20%

You gotta understand the diff between list price and street price.

sales 50% off the LIST.

Street is usually 20-40% off the LIST price.

stuff like boss and roland i believe is already 40% off on normal days.

not sure about others ... but i think swee lee stuffs are overpriced. after 50% discount are the original price tag that should be initially priced (look at the Mexician Fenders). worst of all u only get display set off the shelf. and look at most of their fretboards .........

well, its a sale. a sale is meant to clear stock, if you're not happy with the terms. no one's forcing you to buy? That's a naive viewpoint, you gotta consider the retail side's viewpoint as well. they have to earn money, which cuckoo starts up a business to lose money?

Haiz.. went down felt disappointed somehow. Not much variety of items and instruments to gasp abt. Thought of buying an ibanez prestige, but the price before sale is just so over the top.. 4.5k+? After discount still 2k+... tight budget! hahaha! Just bought some tortex picks, samson headphone, 2 sets of strings, a guitar stand and a string lubricant... well.. spent $80 total.. haha!! Somehow katong outlet has more female sales person.. and friendlier.. haha! :mrgreen:

I tink the $10 entrance fee not really worth it.. they gave us a door gift of an ugly ibanez free strap.. i tink they're trying to clear its stock while charging us $10 so called entrance fee.. hahaha! And yeah... the DJ area were really outcasted though... haha!:mrgreen:

Ya lo red colour abit ugly arh... I didnt even realize theres the dj with the macbook or something until i went to the amp area...

i mentioned many times before. you think you're paying $10 for the free gift and DJ. you should be thankful that the queue wasn't as long this time round compared to previous sales. because of this $10 cover, almost everyone i know who would have actually gone didn't go because we don't have anything to get at all. of course those who actually have things to get would have gone nonetheless. but the $10 is to curb people who would otherwise just waste precious space and queue numbers. what i would suggest is a $10 rebate instead of that goodie bag.

Was a killer deal, couldn't resist. Very happy with it, but the condition of one of them was absolute crap (the one on the stand on the ground). I got the one hanging on the wall next to the J. Custom. A little stained on the neck but for the price, can't really complain. I'll upload actual pictures soon.

Oh and speaking of the queue, it was non-existent at 3pm. Just walked straight in. More staff than customers actually.

Given up ever going to sweelee as it doesnt provide the Gibson/Jackson guitars I want nor, are the prices attractive at any time of the year (for models i want)...

Yeah the selection was way more limited than the previous sales at Sims Drive. They only had DD-3s, Boss DD-wise. Was rather disappointed, was hoping to pick up a DD-7.

And my UV was listed at $3500ish, so was cut to $1762.50. Considering it goes for $2300USD on MF, I'm very happy with the purchase.

when i got there in the afternoon,stock there were pretty low already.
i asked if theres anymore stock coming in the next day.they said no.
so i guess good luck to whoevers going down tmr!:mrgreen:

and yes the dj event is totally outcast.the freaking dj booth shld be at the front of the store!
