"pop" sound from amp..normal?

My brother usually gets a pop sound when switching off his bass amp.

I've noticed that Vox Mini 3 has this popping sound when turned off/on as well?
For those owners of this amp..is this true?

How about other VOX solid states?

Sounds like capacitors discharging voltage to me.
