Wannabe DJ, aspiring music producer or just keen in electronic music? Swing by our Free DJ workshop by Pop-Lab from 7.30pm at Galerie Michael Janssen. Hosted by Chief Instructor at Pop Trash, Brendon P & the cool cats Ben, Adrian and Kithsa from the Electronic Music Lab, Pop-Lab promises to reveal how the new breed of DJ's and ‘live’ electronic musicians use Alternate Controllers to break free from the limitations of laptops.
Using an eclectic range of gadgets from launchpads to joysticks and Wiimotes to Kinects, catch an interactive insight into the nuts and bolts of DJ Controllers, Traktor, Ableton Live and Max for Live. Set right in the midst of the co-exhibition by James Clar’s light installations and Innervisions’s record sleeve artworks, there’s no better prelude to Super 0 Season Finale showdown!

Galerie Michael Janssen Singapore is thankful to the Stojan family for sharing their private collection of James Clar’s works from 17 April to 9 May.
James Clar’s work is an analysis and observation on the affects of media and technology on our perception of culture, nationality, and identity. His interest is in new technology and production processes, using them as a medium, while analyzing and critiquing their modifying affects on human behavior.
