Removed the screw pole from the neck pickup to lower its output for a nicer in between clean tone.

Dropped it somewer.

Don't think that works. No polepiece under string means no ouput not less output. You supposed to lower the polepiece instead.

I'm taking apart one of my shit pickups soon, can give you some polepieces, but they are the non screw type, for single coil. I dunno your's is which type, dunno can fit or not.

Well.. it has 2 poles. One slug and one screw. I was following Seymour duncan's experiment to remove a pole so reduce in esence the output of one pole so get it a more single coil tone. It does not get me there but sounds nicer.

Lowering it helps but it dun go down far enough.

Oh I see, its one piece of a humbucker ah. Hmm doubt my strat one can fit yours then, and I'm not taking apart any of my humbuckers so can't help you there.
