Pod 2.0 VS Korg Pandora

thinking of getting either the pod 2.0 or the pandora to use as a silent practising effects unit- im gonna be plugging in earphones. any advice to share? will be exploring most genres so i need one which offers more versatilty.

i've had the pandora px2, px3 and now the px4.

and its the only thing i use for silent practice.
also its obviously smaller and way portable than the pod.

Same idea execpt i was thinking of either the ampworks, pandora or the pod xt. Might also use it for recording when at times i couldnt use the mic for recording as its late in the night.

well, the pandora is good for recording clean and weird sounds.
pantera and steve vai has used it for that purpose.

plus the pandora is small and has a backlight, so you can practice with the lights off and just play some blues, or some evil music, whichever you want to

For the price online its only 30 usd diff. between the pandora and p.o.d might go and test them first and see which one would be more appropriate because of the guitar online from line6 i might be leaning to the pod.
Btw how much you got your pandora for everdying?

mine is a pandora PX4, IIRC got it for about $180 brand new.

the newer model is the PX4D, technically the same cept it works for bass also.
that one lists for more than $300.

199 usd on musician friend. but got to check at city music. only sat then i can go down. and see their demo etc.

current PX4 manifestation is the PX4D- works with bass as well, there ason i bought one 8)

no, i dont put the metal zone thru it, usually just the PX4 by itself with headphones.
i just did it that one time just to show some ppl how the metal zone combined with something else can get different tones, especially by messing about with the combination of pickups, vol and tone controls.
