Very nice and cool black finishings, . The China Has quite a Low Trashy sound, quite nice though.
Just my 2 cents worth of opinions
Would consider getting the splash and the china.
Does any bro own any of those?
I remember watching an old clip where Terry BOzzio Played on All Black Cymbals.

paiste's makes awesome cymbal no matter low or high end!! no doubt! hahahs..

their 2002 series are the world's best sounding b8 alloy!!

woahh .... slipknot edition ..... dun pray pray

i think the paiste might just edge the pitch blacks, they've shown a better track record of harnessing great sounds from b8 alloy.... wonder whats the damage though... since they price some of their b8s even more expensive than typical zildjian/sabian b20s !!!

Pitch black is made of B12... supposedly go give a warmer sound... zildjian should just concentrate what it does best... turkish hand hammered B20 cymbals and let paiste does best... european made B8 cymbals...

Yes those black cymbals from Paiste are very beautiful...sound wise-I dont know cause I've never tried before - But ---- I'm certainly a Paiste Fan.

Wow...they look COOL!!!

Alfe and I was at Yamaha on that day it was deemed to arrive....but we had to run off early...damn! Gotta go check them out sometime!

Zildjian should stick to B20. I really don't dig the sound of those cymbals... bit to one dimensional... they look pretty cool though

black alpha's + black kit + black hardware + Remo black suede heads (and don't for get your AHEAD sticks) for the comeplete "dark" look hahahaha

zildjian pitch black

I wouldn't recommend them. They're essentially zxt titanium cymbals + black coating.
But trust your ears, if it sounds good to you then go for it!

I agree with malmbas. Way too one dimensional for my liking when I tried 'em out at PS Music Plaza. I would rather go for the Black Alphas.

I think it would be cheaper to switch off the lights! :p
Or a pair of heavily tinted sunglasses might work too. Haha.

churnz... by feel.....
doesnt mean u cant see, u cant drums.. look at ray charles..
heh.. respect..

anywayz, like wat jukebox said, they are zxt titanium cymbals + black coating, i'm wondering sumthing here...
thru extensive playing on them, wouldnt the black coating slowly but surely peel off coz of hitting on them....

and also, even for alphas, they are coated too huh?

My black Paiste visions doesn't peel... but white stick marks are very obvious on it. Also, I have a zxt titanium hat, it hasn't peeled off. I don't think any of these coatings are like paint.

Anyway, if you want black cymbals, you should look at Paiste visions series. Those are nice. Discontinued, but Sweelee still has stock.

The coating on Zildjian's Platinum series apparently came off fairly easily.

The ZXT Titaniums used a similar (if not same) coating process.

Possibly. I've not had either cymbals in my possession so I don't know. All these are hearsay and stuff I read off the net.
