pickups

hi guys.. nid help as mention.

lookin 4 a tone tt i can play heavy metal, black/death.... n sometimes will play slow rock.. is e combination of e seymour duncan ( duncan custom and 59' model) gave tt kind of tone? or hw abt emg 81 n 85?

I would say you need more than pickups to get that those extreme metal tones. What do you currently own? ie amp/guitar/pedals

pickups are the last thing you wanna change imo.get that pedals and amps working right and SOUND right before you look into pickups.

In my opinion, the Uber Metal (as compared to the other high-gain distortion pedals I've tried) has a choked, 'no-balls' kinda sound. i.e. Not as powerful as it should be.

Settle these things first before you change your pick-ups, because pedals and amplifiers have the biggest impact on tone.
