Pickup

I want to change guitar pickup for the bridge pickup I want something with a thick sound but also have some trebles in it so have those crunch sound.
I was thinking Dimarzio D sonic pickup or breed. I've tried Breed pickup it's good but have not tried D sonic because I can't find any guitar in singapore with that kind of pickup. I've tried Evolution too it's not my kind too sharp sound for me
What do u all think?

in the DiMarzio domain (& staying passive for that matter), something very adept to the lower frequencies & still possess a defined treble response- D'Activator.

however, you can have whatever pickups in your guitar to soup up your tone but if you are gonna plug it into an 8" driver equipped amp, it's still gonna sound horrible- what amp are you using?

The D activators are rather umm, unpredictable at best, they sound totally different in different guitars. Test them out first if you can.

it all boils down to the guitar body wood-pickups chemistry, which many of us don't have the access to try.

Yea totally, the I know how D activators sound on the ibanez Xiphos and V-blade, but nothing other than those 2. They sound not bad actually, though I'd say it's somewhat warmer on the V blade

I'm using Ibanez 65watt toneblaster
my guitar is a Samick Artist series guitar 29 frets
It's kind of like the only 1 in singapore

I think I'll go get a D sonic and then later Ibanez JEM 77V
so I'll have a guitar with D sonic and breed

i wouldnt get a jem 77v, as its a essentially a basswood (same as rg) with the monkey grip cut into it. i'd go for the jem7 , which comes in alder. you're paying alot more for vai's name on it if you go for the 77..of course it does come with the breeds that you want... yeah my 2c.

Yea if I have lots of $$ I'll get the 7V then change the pickup to a breed pickup but I don't think I'll get that amount. Anyway I tried the 7V with evos I don't like it. I tried the 77V with breed I like it. Well anyway I bought the D sonic pickup already
