pickup rwrp

Hi there guys,

Just have a simple inquiry to make. How can I check if a single coil pickup is RWRP? I've stock pickups and I was to know if my middle pickup is rwrp. I am aware that it affects the 2 / 4 position for hum cancelling but I've heard that for non-rwrp middle pickups, there is still an extend of hum cancelling as the output is much lower.

Is there really a significant difference between using rwrp middle pickups and non rwrp?

RW/RP is something relative and there is no industry standard amongst manufacturers. Put the magnets face to face to check the magnetic polarity. To check the direction of the coil wind, you would need to know how to use a multimeter. Check out the following website for a lucid explanation.
