my frind sent me this picture and i need to see waht it looked like before he edited it meant to be a kind of challenge can someone help out

its in format .jpg and also .png

meant to be using some history tool i dont know hwo to

if ur a noob then y accept the challenge? itz in a lossy compressed format already it already lost information. i know u can use the history tool only w/ a working file format. howevr the png might work bt u gotta check tht out w/ the hwz 2d graphic folks (tho iv yet to hear abt such thing as reverting an already-exported image)

If it's in jpg, then you can do nothing abt it. If you wish to edit, must be in .psd format. If it's in png, maybe you can try with Fireworks.
Your friend's challenge a bit funny though...

Yup, once in jpeg, there is no way you can back track its history. All details are 'smashed' and flatten into 1 compress file.

Not sure whether if in psd format, you can back track again its history once you closed photoshop and re-open the application again.

Throw that challenge back to your friend. Heheh...
