Perhaps we really need to test guitars blindfolded....

btw, ibanez's starter series, like the GRX20, aren't that good from what is said from reviews...
a timbre can even sound better than a GRX20 at high gain settings

Hmm.

My mantra when it comes to testing guitars is to test them out clean before hitting the overdrive to see how it performs under drive conditions.

It's not very fair to test guitars in extreme gain settings... although the only conclusion you might get is whether there is note definition, and how migh squeal there is from the electronics.

Oh and yah bin4christ, it is a cherry burst one. The back of the body is a transparent orangey finish.

Ibanez GIO models are aimed at the starters. please do not put high hopes on any models but some are truly good, despite this relegation. thusfar, i only have good things to say about the GAX70 & GSZ120.

but u know, brands do matter. Im sure all of us feel bad if we spend too little on a guitar that is good but cheap when we have a bigger budget. We tend to want to get a pricier guitar or one with a better brand. After all, brands do matter dont u think? If u go around logging a say, schecter while your friend has a say, gibson. (ps im not saying schecter is better, only in prise wise comparison) Wouldnt people including yourself have the sterotypical thinking that your guitar is inferior?

Cloudsky: the sa260 do sound very very nice. Got that awesome superstrat tone that just sounds right.

Food for thought. People with multiple guitars usually keep their best or most expensive ones at home for studio work while gigging out with their workhorses which can be anything depending on how deep their pockets strectch. So in a way they are actually publicising their so-so guitars while their best gems are kept stashed safely at home.

almondx is right. look at slash, he leaves his LP COPY at home and brings gibson les pauls on tour with him. and most of you should know that appetite was recorded on that LP copy and modded marshalls which was owned by the studio manager, an amp which slash tried to steal but failed to.

suckasucks, i think ur post contradicts almondx's hehe, unless u're saying slash's LP copy is more pricy than his gibson LPs..

crwaldaddy: so it's not red? no wonder u didnt buy lol.. j.k.
