What do yall think of this pedal tuner? Where would you put it compared to the Korg DT-100, Planet Wave, Boss Tu-2.

I'm considering of getting it as im on a tight budjet.

Iccc..$95 is reasonable. How would it stand compared to the boss tu-2 and korg dt-10? This fender pt-100 would be about $80 over at ebay with shipment.

i got the planetwaves one and its true bypass... accurate and easy to use

however when turn on and off it got a light 'pop' sound which for me a bit irritating

ahhh ... its true bypass? didnt know that... how can sumthing with so many blinking lights and cool space age chrome finish be true bypass???

still prefer my tu-12 for accuracy though...

planet waves is not true bypass. open it up and see. if u see a 3pdt thn yes. if nto i seriously doubt so. even their marketing doesnt say its truebypass. they call it true HARD bypass. its all marketing.

easiest way is if you hear tone suck if it doesn bother you thn its ok i guess.

The only true bypass pedal tuner (with a proper 3PDT switch) currently on the market is the Peterson Strobostomp.

All others like the Planet Waves and Fender are not true bypass. But they should be ok lah.. it depends on whether or not TBP is important to you. Some prefer a good buffered bypass to TBP and vice versa.

The Planet Waves claims 'true hard bypass' but the super gearcrazy folks on TGP have pointed out that it is actually not 'true' true bypass. bleah :P

i know that the Korg DT10 has a very good buffered bypass. The Boss TU2 has a very good buffered bypass too, but tuning-wise is not as accurate as the Korg.

In the world of pedal tuners, the Peterson Strobostomp is king (virtual strobe technology, sweetened tunings, super accurate to 0.1 cent, TBP) followed by the Korg DT10 (very accurate, good buffered bypass). i would be happy with one of either. :D

the DT 10 actually has a noticable tone suck when i first tried out the pedal me and ark immediated noticed the difference which is say alot hurhurhru but its a good stage tuner fast and bright led make for easy tuning on stage.

i just use a a/b box to keep the tuner out of my chain/

hmmmm so it can be said not really true bypass?... but as long as im concerned have a/b it and no tone sucking is found

but inside the instruction manual states TRUE BYPASS

lol getting confused.. but yeah as said as long as it doesnt suck tone as much as the KORG and small as size with accurate tuning... it works for me

if u wanna see for urself just open it up if you know what electronic parts look like u can see if its true bypass or not.

cheap cheap,
cheap cheap.

if budget is a concern, you may wanna check this out at Bras Basah, Ranking Sports & Music, 3rd floor. I forgot their selling price, but, it's light-weight, plastic, and cheap, i think. Works fine, of course.

Just my head of advice ...Please(if possible) mark off the danelectro(NOT EVEN CHROMATIC) and behringer ones. I mean its cheap but it's not gonna last trust me. Before you know it $50 dollars will be down the drain. It'll get thrashed in no time.

Do consider the fender Pt-100 or the planet waves. The Fender will be about 80 dollars via ebay with shipping Planet waves is at 95 at davis. I'll try to get hold of the fender one and do a feedback on it.

You probably won't be able to hear tonesuck through small ss amps. Put it through a big clean amp like the roland jazz chorus, or a big tube amp and the difference will immediately be quite apparent.
