OR..... Gretsch!! :D

Like many an expert would say in this forum, save up for a better set of drums or wait for a good second-hand deal to come across. I think that a Pearl Export recently came up for $700?

a pearl export for 700?! Wow! And i thought my tama superstar with good cymbals at 1250 was the best deal on earth!!

i dont think Pearl Target is still been manufactured.

new Export EX (coloured wrap) can fetch around RM3000 here in Bentley together with hardware but no throne included. But that when Vision havent come in. I dont know the current price for Export now.

how much is your friend selling you the export at.

do note that recently swee lee was selling the export at $800 odd brand new, no throne no cymbals. the export series is quite wonderful, solid hardware and good sounds.

pearl has ceased the production of Exports as of 2008, by the way.

Hey guys, the Pearl Target is still sold at Swee Lee and some other places. It is still in production if I'm not wrong.

ABout $1500.00....and it looks quite new.....is it worth the price?....it is supposed to be the select series..according to him...

If it's the Export Select Series as he claims so, I reckon it might be worth the moolah (depending on condition and what's included in the package). Is it a regular 5-piece setup?

Firstly, is it within your budget? Since cymbals and throne are not included, you'd most definitely need to get yourself some nice cymbals. Maybe you can make do with a common high stool or something as an alternative to the throne. You might have to change out the skins as well.

What sounds are you looking for in your cymbals and drums? Cymbals will, without a doubt, set you back quite a fair bit. Prices for 2008 have gone up, apparently.

$1500; No cymbals and throne.
S$1,155.60 for a Pearl Forum; Brand new from Swee Lee. These Forums are the replacements of the Export line, in a better package.
