Which one of the above is better in terms of quality and sound?
I need guidance from experts here.
Thanks

I'm using the Tama Rockstar. Sounds pretty good (for the price) to me. But i think they are no longer in production? Never tried the Pearl Export before so can't comment on that. :p

drums

I've tried and played on the rockstar @ my friend's house for a couple of months.
Its the best bang for your buck. :)
Prefer it over the pearl export sets...anytime.
If im not wrong, the new superstar is the replacement of the Rockstar.
Tried the superstar over @ Jade music... sounds just as good as the Rockstar...
:)

I don't have experience with either, but because these two kits are in the similar price range, it's hard to say which is better. As long as you throw on good heads on them, tune them up nicely, nobody will be able to tell the difference in a blind test :)

Well its quite true that the 2 sets are equally priced and are both 6-ply and 7.5mm-thick
but the prove is in the pudding like what they say... the vision has overall better specs as the wood is birch vs the imperialstar's poplar wood which provides the vision with a deeper voice the poplar on the other hand often offers a better projection but if you ask me its like getting a guitar getting a proper tone is more important since you can create more volume from the skins that you use.. plus you would prob be micing ur set anyway... hmm on top of that the vision has included an 8-ply bass and floor tom giving u the depth that you need when your breaking into solos or leading in with your bass drum...

vision over imperialstar anyday.... but of cus if you can buy a sonor that be yummier =D hehehe... cheers!
