Sup guys,

does anyone know where can I test out the Peal ePro Live Drum Kit?

Does any drummer own this kit? Reviews?

i rmb that musiclab might be selling it and Alvin tan has one of it in his room, i am not too sure about it, u can ask him yourself :)

The epro live is another elec drumkit, with the difference of it being a full sized kit. It's also not as silent as mesh heads, and maybe even slightly louder than rubber heads. (it has resonant heads too).
The thing i was disappointed is that the rims of the heads are on/off switches..which means you can only do a rim shot OR a cross stick. You can't do both. So if you want to do both, setup two kits within the brain, and then swap accordingly during the song. Quite a let down for modern technology...even cheap $800 kits have cross stick/rimshot functions (functions..not even a feature..haha..)

The good thing about the kit is that it's full sized. This means what you practice on it, can translate immediately to a regular acoustic kit. Muscle memory on 8" pads to a regular kit would get some getting used to.
But for the pricetag, it's really a luxury more than a necessity.. ;) I'm sure Gadd and Royston Jr will still swear by pillows! ;)

Certainly i agree :)
The snare rims on Roland only have 1 trigger, when u hit the rim soft = Cross stick, when you hit the rim hard = Rim shot, There are times when i am doing audio recording and the cross stick came out to be a mini rim shot, hahaa
