The PC Show is going on, anyone bought anything from there?

I got myself a LG W2252TQ LCD at $400
1 WD 250GB "My Passport Essential" at $130
1 WD 500GB "My Book Essential" at $150

Might be buying a new camera and new HTC phone the Touch Diamond, so James, crowd as usual? cramp? and pamphlet thrown everywhere?

went there today at about 6 plus.
crowd waasnt too bad.
only checked out the sony section. laptops nothing much,because the prices and gifts are the same as anywhere else.

but i got myself an alpha 350

good things was there were LOAD of freebies from the dslr side.
8gb card, external hd,tripod, extra batt, camera bag..

very very happy girl now

my friend has one.
im no computer expert, but IMO, it's good if you're always on the go for work.
pretty much cant handle anything else unless you modify it.
major lag.

i'm on a Asus EEE 4G. i do recording and light mixing on it also. the only bad thing is the low hard disk space which i'm fine cos my videocam acts as an external HDD at 100gb via USB.

anyway i compared the asus 701 with the new HP mini. the HP mini is alot more worth it. and the keyboard's not cramped hehe.
but i still love one thing about the asus's , is the weight at 1kg. otherwise I'd go for a HP mini when it's more powerful.

my guess is that it's 1x 2GB. 2x 1GB is more expensive.

theunknown - remember that windows xp/vista 32bit can only support 3.2gb ram - 4gb ram.

unless you're using 64bit.then it's up to 8gb max (depends on your mainboard)
