Original Song Submission

I'm interested to write original compositions e.g. guitar and vocals only.

Any advice on which avenues that I can submit my songs to?
I noted that there is Express In Music website for consideration.

Would I need to produce it professionally or perform on stage?

I have set up a site www.music412.com to consolidate all music made in Singapore. You are most welcome to upload your tracks there.

As for Express In Music, yes, you should upload your tracks there too. They have a system for matching musicians/music to commercial needs.

Well, if you want to put up your original song that is badly recorded using an iphone/handycam... well, it's up to you. Except, the bad quality will SO misrepresent the song such that you will get critic, or feel internally unsatisfied whenever you hear it.
If you really value the song, then YES, get it done well, properly produced etc..
