Hi Folks
This is a song entitled It's Not Here. It's about spirits that are locked/lost away from their own world. Have a set of decent speakers for the best 'spirit' experience.

Two guitars (overdubbed) - Strat MiM into a Toneport (UX2). The toneport is great!!! It's got a few buggies but nothing serious; once you know what not to do.

Let me know what you think. The link is here ->

There are a couple of hiccups but most of the gist is there.

More work needs to go into the guitar playing, in terms of feel/expression/technique. But I really liked the overall feel of the song, I liked the tune and I listened to it 3 times in a row. The choice of notes were pretty darn good in several portions of the song, in my opinion. Very nice original piece. The tone reminds me somewhat of Eric Johnson's tone. thanks for sharing, really fit my mood just a while ago. Keep it up and share with us pls. =)

Cheers,
Ken

The guitar playing is a little punchered - as they say. Haven't played for a loooooong time and decided to pick up the guitar again. I'm looking into composing more than anything. And whatever I put up here is more of a "proof of concept" thingy.

What you heard was excerpted from a 7-minute piece. The final version will be closer to 4:45 with a couple of minor changes to the arrangement - more room for the solo to breathe in.

Eric Johnson - YES! And some Jeff Beck - actually quite a bit in certain parts. But I'd like to think that it's mostly me when it comes to the main melody and the feel. It's impossible to sound totally original in terms of tone or feel. What's more important is that the song sounds original, interesting and ... . Duh I forgot the 3rd.

And Ized says Cool. Duh!?! Thanks for the kind WORD though.

Cheers!
