ordering from warmoth.com

Btw, what is your opinion on this, should I order parts from warmoth.com and get the guitar build or should I just get a Fender? I'm looking for a strat or tele.

Can you find something specific within the Fender line that you're looking for? If so, then just get a Fender, as there are many variables in building your own, and unless you find a good builder to do it for you, many things can go wrong. (eg. string alignment due to bridge offset if not done correctly)

But if there's something specific you want that Fender does not do, then Warmoth or USACG would be great. They can do all the routings for you, and should fit together very well.

Its mostly the finishing. Warmoth have more choice on finishing.

Warmoth uses Poly finishing. I think so does USACG. If you order blank pieces, you can also get Guitar Connection to finish in Nitro for you.

I'm considering getting a finished body from them. But not to sure where to send to complete the building. Only place I know of is Guitar Connection, but not sure of their workmanship

Poly is da best everrr
Isn't that what they use on the jp6 as well
good stuff, i like mine :D

Yes, but EBMM does the poly finishing VERY VERY thinly... to the point, it actually sinks! the warmoth bodies I've seen so far are like Ibanez guitars... very thick. Me no likey thick poly finishes...

Then you should check out the Allparts/WD strat they built for me... It was TOP notch quality... Really very very well made... I was personally impressed.

yeah.. thin layer :).. polyurethane finish only 5 layer would be good ... ... and the wood will still resonance well
maybe about 0.75mm - 0.9mm thick :)
