order neck+body from warmoth, good idea?

Good thing about warmoth is that its pretty cheap. Painted bodies can start at US$270, necks at 165. Neck prices quickly add up though. You also have more options for woods with warmoth.
Never heard anyone complain about warmoth quality so I'm sure its pretty good. Some people have had bad experiences with warmoth service. They say when warmoth makes a mistake in your order, they wont rectify it for you. I'm sure thats few and far between but when it happens to you, you're screwed.
USACG necks are so expensive to begin with but most neck dimension options are free. Bodies are damn ex. About 400. But lots of people like the quality and their service seems a lot more friendly and willing to work with you.

USACG necks are very nice and as you've notice a lot of options are free.
Warmoth necks, unless you're happy with just thin, boat and fat... then for the price paid it'll work for you. plus they have 3-a-side neck headstock. I may plunk some cash for a 3 a side neck sometime this year.

I think the price is similar from USACG and Warmoth.
For finishing, you'd have to add the price of finishing to the unfinished item.
Which roughly comes out to the same, +- 20/30 USD.
For starters, unfinished USACG guitar bodies are about USD10 more expensive than warmoth.
But if you add in their options, the pricing will probably come out the same.
Necks wise, USACG is a tad more expensive, but Tommy does make it an effort to answer all e-mails ASAP. Turn around time for my e-mails, about 3 hours when they are open.
