NOOBIE BAND.. pls help!

Hmm.

Actually, AC/DC songs make good beginner songs too. Simple arrangements, simple open and power chords and the drum beats are pretty simple too.

But their stuff kicks ass

Try some Green Day or Blink 182 songs. You can simplify the drumbeats for your drummer. Alternatively, try some really simplistic radio-friendly pop songs, as they are generally quite easy to play also.

Tabs from sites like ultimate-guitar.com are your friends. Good luck! :D

Most of the songs recommended here however do not require a keyboardist.
Which brings me to the question. Why do you need a keyboardist in your band?
Are your songs going to be guitar driven?
Please note guys, his vocalist is a female.

these are the few songs i first played on guitar:P
dammit by blink
smoke on the water by deep purple
what's my age again by blink
all the small things by blink
american idiot by blink
brainstew by greenday
basketcase by greenday

you could try taking back sunday or underoath too not that hard:)

smoke on the water's okay but the solo mayb be pretty difficult for them to handle?

RHCP- Dani California! its quite easy! since the main problems lies with guitarist, the bassist should have no problem with the riffs and stuff

or try blink182 stuff :D

haha sorry RHCP fan here.

how about californication? easy solo and quite easy to play

by the way sounds nice as well! :D :D

i'm a girl -.-! and, its a must to have a keyboardist, elect guitarist, bassist, drummer and a vocalist in the band, this is their criteria.

vindicated damn easy. If i'm not wrong, it's 4 chords only. If you guys are christians, you can start out with hillsongs. Most of their songs are very easy eg. 'one way' 'now that you're near' etc etc

female vox?

haha cool. why not try something local? indie rock? west grand boulevard has a female vocalist i believe :D

these are the first few songs i played on guitar

acdc-back in black
for whom the bell tolls-metallica
seek and destroy-metallica
smoek on the water-deep purple

try those.

lydia not tt easy on guitar..i think english songs got more choice for female vocal..if i din rmb wrong the corrs is a good choice for female vocal band..do consider!
