Noob question: Where to buy speaker cables??

Wanna check with you guys...do most of the guitar/instrument shops here sell speaker cables used for connecting amp heads to cabinets? What are the common popular brands and price range like? Cos wanna decide whether to go Sim Lim or the guitar/instrument shops after work.

Did a search but couldn't find relevant posts/threads on this, so just start a thread on it...

Oh, and after a trip to Sim Lim Tower, I realised that almost every store that sells them requires pre-order to make them...except one store which I came across has packaged 3ft Canare Speaker cables (with Canare plugheads).
