Nick Augusto: Trivium's new drummer

So apparently, Trivium got themselves a new drummer. Being a huge Trivium fan, I'm not exactly too excited with the change of line-up due to the fact that Travis Smith was crucial to Trivium's formation. However, Nick seems to be pretty good too. Seeing him record the drum tracks for 'Shattering the Skies Above', I think that he'll be able to provide some kickass beats for Trivium.

I am a fan of trivium and one of the reasons i like trivium other than Matt Heafy and the great guitar solos is the drummer, Travis Smith and this new drummer, from what i am seeing in the video, is miles away from Travis Smith.

Nope. They just stated that Nick is replacing Travis. Nothing more was revealed

I like the old bullet where they could scream their songs live loudly, now jay james screams , half the time cant be heard.... But their songs - dissapear , forever and always, waking the demon, scream aim fire, tears dont fall, end of days, 4 words to choke upon, hand of blood etc are great.

Yea man, I agree with you on that bit. I don't whether the mic volume for Jay was meant to be low or that he's just unlucky to get low-volumed mics. In terms of music, they are definitely getting better at writing more Metal songs with less 'Hardcore-ish' breakdowns. Hahah. Can't wait for their new album btw :mrgreen:

I am a big Trivium fan and just gotta say that Trivium will never be the same without Travis...

He's been around like since the days of Ember To Inferno all the way to Shogun. Always loved his aggressive and machine gun footwork.

Yeah me too but speaking about trivium, their new drummer seems to be able to get along with them and their new songs which some videos let u hear it for a few secs, sounds greater than ever. Cant wait for their new album.

Of course they get along pretty well. They've known the guy for a long time. He used to play in the same band as Paolo and he used to be the drum tech for Trivium.
