newbie's questions...

quite an interesting journey for you guys.....somehow i think i have managed to solve the problem, did a search and realised that my nut height may be too high...cos i was also having difficuties playing the F chord as high-lighted in the website which was looking into the nut's height problem...since mine is just a cheapo type, i just file the slots of the nut and its easier to press the strings now...the correct way is the sand off the base of the nut instead but i cant get the nut out so i choose the easy way....lol.
now i dun have to press that deep to make the string rest on the fret anymore....but my finger tips still hurt from the practising before this was solved......:D

haha the finger hurts because of the muscles in the finger which are no very strong. But after alot of playing u will notice that the tip of your finger turns hard, after that your finger will not hurt much any more

yes turns hard, and you lose abit of the fingerprints on the tip area of your left fingers, well maybe except the thumb. kinda like wears off... it feels great. once u feel that it's hardened, means you're getting better. hahaha. :D

/edit. oh. that last line doesn't sound so right. pardon me. hehe. :D
