New to Pedalboards

Hi i am new to pedalboards. I dont know where i shall start with . Well i do have some pedals . Anyone mind giving me advise on DIY-ing my pedalboard?

industrial strength velcro, stripping of rubber base from the bottom of your pedals, super gluing the pedal to the industrial strength velcro, do likewise for your diy pedalboard? you could use the support wood pieces from beds, cut to size and frames nailed together and then put the negative side of the velcro on and viola, your d.i.y pedalboard.

but for the hassle, i'd rather just buy one pedalboard/pedaltrain off from blackwood. can be quite time taking unless you're hard on the cash.

Not any pedals in any order.. There has to be an order in your pedals.. For example, Distortion/Overdrive before Delay, will sound differently after delay... Its how the guitar signal travels. Pedal Order is an important factor in you D.I.Y Pedalboard! :D

You start with putting them on the floor

Then try something around the house

Or maybe something a wee bit more presentable

then you realise you need to bring that shit out. So you start with the small bags

Somewhere along the line you discover guitar mags and decide boss pedals are freaking awesome

Then you discover Mr Misse boards. Man those were popular.

You notice this thing called a pedaltrain

Then one day at Ikea you see this and go HOLY SHIT THAT LOOKS LIKE A PEDALTRAIN

No it doesn't.

From here you go 5 ways.

1. You decide simple is best

2. You stick with the Misse board

3. You decide you prefer not to hunt through 50 cables to find where you sound is getting cut out

4. You stick with the pedal train and try to fill it to the tits with boutique stuff

5. You go mad and create a DIY monster

Just don't create a monstrosity and be a stupid shit about how your lazer power supply pedal works by creating energy from jesus.

Whoa don't give wrong advise man. There are velcro sold outside that have adhesive. No need to get the velcro permanently stuck on the pedal.

perhaps its the brand of industrial strength velcro i used? but the adhesive on it wasn't very good, so i kinda used this clear superglue to glue the velcro to the pedal itself. it is removable though as the metal doesn't fuse with the velcro....though you gotta chip/scrape off the hardened glue if you wanna readjust/reglue.

those thin adhesives that's on the velcro are kinda ironic as the velcro itself is way stronger than the adhesive, so everytime i rearrange the pedals, i wind up ripping up the pedals and the two velcros are stuck to the board....

Every single pedal I have used has been velcroed down using normal velcro that can be purchased at any homefix store. I've never had a problem from the very first pedal I've owned till now. Really don't superglue your pedals to velcro. If you ever intend to sell it off you could scare away buyers. I'd be pissed if I found velcro super glued to my pedal.

The reason could be because you're using Boss pedals? They have rubber backings so velcro doesn't stick to them well.

wooohooo, Ark bro for presidentz!!!

A response worthy of being a sticky response that shall be shown to future doubts and question on pedalboard!

oh, as long those picture doesnt get expired or removed by poster.

actually, blueark's oracle prediction of the path of a geetarer is easily debunked with....

A TIGHT WALLET.
