heyy. i'm going to start learning how to play a acoustic guitar, without any prior musical background. was wondering if i should get a guitar frm peninsula plaza or swee lee or get a second guitar. was looking at the swee lee website which offers a congress guitar for abt 170. my budget is ard 100 to 150. any suggestions? or offers for 2nd hand guitars?

my first guitar was a yamaha f-310 which i highly recommend. it's about a hundred and plays and sounds very very good for its price

awesome. a guitarist-to-be! and welcome to soft!

mine was a yamaha FG-332. pretty neat sound.

look around. try them out. if it feels comfortable, and you like the sound, and its affordable, there's no reason why you shouldn't get it.

mine was some tgm acoustic which has brought me a long way.wont reccommend it.haha.lol

get a timbre!a great strat for a great start!

Mine still going strong, Takamine, but bought for 250... G series if I'm not wrong... (lent to friend...)

I personally recommend the Samicks. I own one and it sounds really good, plays well and survives a beating (mine's really beaten up. Its at least 8 years old!). Around $120-$200 at Davis Guitar.

Of course the lower-end Takamines should also be considered, and the Finas. Make sure you play several of them before deciding, because tone is a subjective thing.

vantage

i'd highly recommend a vantage or a fina. but dun be afraid to try everything in the guitar shop. shld get something ur comfortable with :D
