New guitar?

Interesting, how well does it play, haven't seen a review nor a sound clip about it :)

the uno plays fantastic...very nice neck. but thats just me. give it a try...just dun compare it with a standard les paul. its kind of a deviation from it i think. those pickups being teslas may sound good to some but i dun like the tone of the bridge...too hot for me lol

If you want to go crazy with a FR, try the Ibanez S series. The ZR trem is really stable & can take abuse very well. Tested and proven. It's made out of a thin piece of mahogany so the bass is not the LP-ish kind of "deep" sounding.

For fixed bridge Ibanez guitars, you have many options to choose from.

I don't think think the RG fixed bridge guitars are suitable since your only option is the RG321 and RGT6EXFX. Both made of Mahogany, a tad bit dark sounding. might not be suitable.

Consider the RGA series. Mahogany with Maple top and fixed bridge. Basically your current guitar with a fixed bridge instead.

I would not recommend the RG tremolos with the Edge III bridge. Stable yes but when you need spare parts, you are in trouble.

phew, I hope that helped. If you are wondering why all the guitars I recommended are Ibanez, I can only say that they are the one of the most versatile guitars around :) .

Hmmmmm, will check out the RGA's :) Thanks

actually.. why do you not like the in-between trems?
if you get a fixed bridged guitar, you'd regret not being able to play with the trem over time, and if you got a floyd rose, you'd regret not being able to downtune easily and change strings easily as well. the in-betweens give you the best of both worlds, not to mention you can still do divebombs and stay in tune if your guitar is properly set up and with locking tuners.

get something versatile with a H-S-H config or S-S-H, i think you will be happy enough:)

My Ibanez already has HSS but wanna try a HH or a HSH :). Downtunings are a pain though :/ and I always snap my E string :P
