i think of getting a drumset.. can recommend me ? pearl, battlefield or mapex??
maybe something not too expensive..

3.Pearl Rythm traveller-$650(bras basah ranking)

6.Mapex I'm not to sure maybe around 1K+
But the above mention drumset is quite good brand if you are on a tight budget but if you have more cash then aim for more branded drumset like DW,PDP and others....

Battlefield drums are NO WAY cheap. Drumsresoures carries them, they are full maple (of course they have others like acrylic). Price ard $4-5K. Where did u get the idea they are cheap? BTW, they sound great.
I recommend Tama Superstar (Ard $1.5+K) or Mapex Horizon (Ard $1k++?), or Yamaha Stage Customs. Do u have any budget cos we dunno what is ur definition of " not too expensive" ?

Ok , budget kit,
tama imperial star, for the good stands, better than average drum pedals and quite a comfortable drum throne and the hi hat stand is better than the pearl one cos it can rotate so that u can put ur double bass slave pedal, and in terms of shell construction, i believe those tama imperialstar i tried at jamming studios, although not so well tuned but it does sound great, the price shld be $1k or lesser?
But due to the new pearl i.s.s mount, pearl tom mounts as often said by most drummers, are better than tama's one, drum pedal is also quite good and the new mapex horizon are around $1.4k? i am not very sure but if it is $1.4k, i would recommend a tama superstar which is made of birch.
