What is the JamVOX?
When the JamVOX was first announced, we were afraid that this is going to be just another product trying to compete in an over saturated music software market. Fortunately, we were wrong, this is not just another amp modeling software. The JamVOX consists of a USB powered monitor speaker which acts as hardware interface that connects guitarists to the JamVOX software. Besides having an intuitive drag-&-drop interface and a range of great sounding amps and effects to choose from, the JamVOX introduces possibly one of the greatest innovations of 2008 to hit the guitarists market - the GXT technology.
The Magic of GXT
What does it do? To put it simply, the GXT can be described as a "karaoke" for the guitar. Load in any mp3 song, press the GXT button and the GXT (Guitar Xtraction Technology) will remove the guitar part in the song! This allows you to jam along with your favorite songs/bands right on your computer. Alternatively, you can extract or isolate the guitar part, slow down the tempo, and practice a particular phrase without changing the pitch. The GXT allows you to create instant jam tracks from any song and best of all, you play lead guitar backed by the original band members!
