Hmm.

I use it mainly as a tuner-out so that I can tune silently onstage. But yes, you can also use it to switch between 2 pedals or in the event you're a pedal junkie you can switch between 2 pedalboards.

hope this helps, and btw it does not need a battery because it does not have an LED.
