Need recommendations

Have been searching the forum for amp recommendations however those threads are dated way long ago.

I would need advice with an amp upgrade. I am currently using a vox pathfinder 15r. Any recommendations for a nice amp regardless of tube or solid state. As i am quite a users of pedals with my distortions/drives. i would like a recommendation of an amp that works well together with pedals.

My budget is most likely around $500. The amp should not be more than 30 watts.
Opinions and suggestions would be widely appreciated. Thanks

Peavey Rage 158 / Peavey Blazer 158 amps? Those are 15-watt tube amps. Won't cost a bomb. And won't constitute policemen knocking on your door due to neighbour's complaints.

hmmm... but those amps aren't much of an upgrade...

Of course there are amps suitable such as roland cube 30, but I would suggest that you should save up more... so that you would be able to afford a mid-tier amp, like orange tiny terror.

so, you don't have to force yourself to buy a shiny new amp at the moment
