Hi guys!

Background info: I bought a Orange TT from the US and its wired for 110V and I want to rewire it for 230V (found out that its possible by changing the position of a few wires).

Therefore, I need some help. Any bros with Orange TTs wired for 230V, could you help me take some pictures of the internal guts of the Orange Tiny Terror especially close up pictures of the wires connected to the mains toggle switch (i.e. on / off switch) and the mains inlet (i.e. the place where the power cord is connected to the amp)?

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

PM me if you have any pictures.

Thanks for the reply goose!

I got the info from an Orange tech manager when I emailed Orange. Btw, I have a 2nd gen MIK TT.

Here's the info he gave me:

ll Tiny Terrors mains transformers have the same primary and secondary. It does not matter which country it originated or the date of manufacture.
I'll try and clarify- If you were to wire it for 120V operation you would use a combination of the following:

red+brown = Hot
blue+black = Neutral

(purple) = not used
(yellow) = not used

For 230V operation you change this combination to the following:

Red+Black = Hot
Blue = Neutral

(Brown) = not used
(purple) = not used
(yellow) = not used

Now, can you see that you are using the exact same wires on the primary, only in a different configuration for this voltage?

I'm trying to see if I wired it correctly by comparing it with another one. Cos it seems like there's something wrong with mine now. Power switches on and tube glows but PT has a slight buzzing noise and no sound comes out when i strum (the cab works fine cos i tried it with an epi valve jr.), so i'm trying to figure out if i wired it wrongly somewhere.

Ok cool...finally they (orange) have done the right thing.
Btw...i think i posted the wrong pics...i can't seem to find the right ones...sheeshh!!

Ok you are rewiring the primary ....
Have a coffee ,,,then look it again.
If you need help gimme a buzz :)
You might need to change the main fuse too ya.
