Need help with exposed wire

Hi guys, my guitar didn't give out any sound output recently. Opened up the input jack, and found out that an exposed wire is causing the problem. I used an insulating tape to solve this, but don't think it's the best solution cause the tape doesn't stick that well and i have to re-tape like every 1 or 2 weeks. Is there any other way to insulate an exposed wire? Thank you.

Note: The exposed section of the wire is only 1cm, not that much, but it's the main cause of the problem, cause it short-circuits the connection when it touches my cable.

Thanks bro, I've thought of that solution. I have everything else except the heatgun :(
How much would it cost for one?

You have a sleeving? Just use the soldering iron. Put it close but not too close as it will melt the sleeving. If not, get a better insulating tape. I used it on mine too, no problem at all.

No worries, I have both the soldering iron and soldering lead. If what Ryanz says about putting the iron close to the sleeving to shrink it is true, I'll be fine :)

Yup!!! The hairdryer works fine too.

dude for the heatshrink ive used a lighter, works out fine, and i usedd it for a good amount of anti-interference and more :)

just unsolder-shorter{if you want as the dude above says :P}-put heatshrink pretty far back-resolder back-push heatthingy forward-lighter[warp shrinks,no more hassle}
