Need help with distortion pedal

Hey folks, i have a MI Audio Crunchbox V2 that was all working fine until like yesterday theres this really really loud hum when i turned it on, and it doesnt usually have such a loud hum when i turn it on. Tried running it just by itself but its still the same. Any help here?

did you change the settings? or was it the same all this while? more gain more hum to some extent i guess

Could be either your jack or your cable lead, make sure everything's tight and there's no interference. Are you running it off a battery or power adapter?

Hmm, suspect that it may have something to do with the adapter. Experience something similar before, but I just plugged out the adapter, plugged in again, and it was fine..

It was all the same, settings etc, but it just suddenly have a loud hum, mmm im running it off from a power adapter. And I tried what J.custom said, still the same. Really bad hum

Try running it on a 9V battery. Maybe it is the adapter's fault.

Oh I remember another incident, I disconnected all the daisy chains, and reconnected, and it worked out. Try what kevchy92 says.

yeah one time my cs-3's LED suddenly went out when i just changed it. pulled the adapter out and put it back in.. still the same problem. changed the head. worked fine. maybe the adapter is faulty.
