hey guys, ive been drumming for approximately 2 years now and im considering myself to be an intermediate drummer. i have jsut recently moved to singapore and im looking for a drum school. which do you think is better between these two drum schools(my drum school and academy of rock)? . i play all genres but i am liking to learn more jazz and latin. so tell me what you guys think! help would be much appreciated

thanks!

check out Rhythm House for jazz and latin. B1 at excelsior shopping center (city hall, beside Funan). the teacher there is Mark Boatman. He's quite adept at various styles.

forgot to add my budget is only 200 dollars per month, ive check out mark boatman but his classes are too exp.

i guess then it'll be a problem. maybe go to him three times a month, that'll be less than 200. haha. since you mentioned you're at an intermediate level, he'll definitely be worth it to learn from.

allright i would consider music lab =D, have any1 heard any reviews about my drum school though?

Currently, I am learning from mydrumschool, quite enjoyed their systematic way of learning there. Since I have totally no experience in drumming, I pick up everything from the basics. U can go down to take a look, cosy studios and of cos friendly instructors.

I would advise that for styles such as latin and jazz, go out and look for the pros who really play those styles and take a lesson or 2. U do not need to take weekely lessons, once a fortnight, or even once a month is ok. You shd have enough material to practice.

For jazz, you can check out guys like Tama, Boon Gee, Eddie etc..

Latin, try Mohd Nor, Rizal Sanip, etc...
