need help searching for new semi-acoustic

and so i'm struggling now,
without an acoustic guitar.
i really am in need of one, i'm actually thinking of getting a yamaha semi-acoustic.

but i would love to hear recommendations,
i'm 17 and a student so i dont have much cash, i'm trying to set aside $400 tops. so, well, no taylor for me, maybe next time =/

well not that i'm good enough for a taylor anyway,
i would love to hear some good yamaha models,
some takamine ones would be good too, but i heard those below the $350 range have high tension and my fingers arent that strong so yeah.

dun worry about high tension, you can always change to a string gauge you are comfortable with... but of course, it can't hurt to build some strength in your fingers right?

I'm really curious... why would you struggle because you do not have an acoustic guitar? I have always abide by the saying "johnny needs steel strings" (LOL)
