Hi all. Recently I have noticed during tuning that the third string on my Strat rings when played open. I think it's more a less an octave higher, but it does not occur for the other strings. Sustain is also somewhat affected. Is this 'sitar-ing' as I don't think it an be called buzzing?
I am suspecting either the nut or the saddles are in question, but not too sure. I know a trip to a guitar tech would be the best, but I am asking to see if there are any simple solutions that I can do. My strat uses a graphtech nut and is setup to float, using .10 Ernie Balls, previously setup by Beez to a not-so-low action.
