Need Help: Logic

Need some help from experts here,

I can't get my Bass Guitar input to work on Logic. It's going through a mixer via a DI Box, with analog audio signals converted into digital via Behringer's FCA202 from there.

Logic software & Mac OSX identifies the FC202 correctly and shows it correctly, but when instrument played, signal not received by Logic's dedicated recording Channel.

Am I missing a step in Logic's configuration? Thanks

If everything work properly, then change your input track into stereo track. You will notice audio track in even number are controlled by the odd number(mixer window). You either arm the track in odd or even number. Or add other audio track, the chances are the signal will be received when arm. I don't understand why it work this way. Never figure out the logic behind it since most of time I am doing midi arrangement.

Did you activate 'input monitoring' for your track to be able to hear your instrument? Make sure the little 'I' is clicked on your track.

Hi RegnoSG and Kong Wee,

RenoSG: I did arm the track. Very puzzling still. My MIDI Keyboard works well, only audio input via my Mackie Mixer & DI Box, and then through an Behringer audio interface (analoge to digital data)

Kong Wee: Not sure what your description means

Just simply open a stereo track. and arm. You should able to received a signal either left or right. If not, check your audio preference whether it is select to the correct interface.

Agree with kongwee, need to make sure that the correct interface is selected for input & output... other than that, it seems a bit mysterious...

In the channel strip change your input setting to "Input 1-2"

Driver settings

Hi,

- In Logic, select FC202 as your driver (Command+comma - then select "Audio" Pane/"Devices" tab). Don't forget to click "Apply settings" at the bottom of the Audio preference window.

- Click either the "i" or "R" button in the bass track's channel strip to hear/audition your bass

- Is Mackie's "Volume" led flashing when you play your bass?

- Is your Mackie sending a signal to the FC202?

- Cables/guitar jacks are working?

- Try plugging your bass into different inputs in the FC202
