Need help in looking for new Acoustic Guitar

Hi All.

Do you have any brands/models to recommend to me for a beginner in Acoustic Guitar? Came across Takamine, Custom Acoustic, SX, Fina. Not sure if there are any more models that area really good for my budget of $200. Pls recommend guys. Thanks.

Make a trip down to peni.. go to Masetro.. The guitars are good and i think you can get the $199 guitars which I have... Not bad actually..

Maestro at Peninsula, they bring in good and cheap ones too.

why not u try yamaha,

i think that the fx-310 model is quite good for a beginner..
plus it has a built in pickup..

I bought my SD1 at $199 but that was 1 year ago.. go check it.. Maestro has good guitars..

It's gonna be hard to find a Takamine below $200...

You might wanna try one of those Johnsons at Davis. They're a new brand but they've been getting awards.

Nah its okay, people keep sharing but in the end its nothing unless you try it yourself. If you really like a particular Yamaha guitar, I would say, go ahead and grab it. In economics, people fit their private marginal benefit to their private marginal cost... =D

Well nothing bad really happened, but every Yamaha I've touched (even the L-series) sounded dead in terms of tone, even on new strings. And quality wise, I have yet to be impressed with a Yamaha acoustic.
