Need help: how to convert wav files to mp3 or audio???

Wav files are audio files. For mp3 conversion, windows media player can do that. You can, however, go for audacity (free). It will require you to download LAME (which is also free). Many thinks (and me as well) LAME is superior to many other conversion engines.

there are lots of wav to mp3 converter software on the net,
just do a search and you'll get it.

I use 4Music converter

DBpoweramp is good. I believe it also uses the LAME engine. That's why... :)I used to use it, until they said they were no longer allowed to offer mp3 conversions due to copyright issues. I'm not sure if that's changed, since I can't see how they are breaking copyright laws - especially since LAME is opensource.

Well i use creative media source to rip CD's into mp3 and file converting...

Many people say that LAME is the best for encoding files into mp3 but its NOT a programme though, its some open source code and its used by other programmes...

recently, there this thing on about mp3 being copy-righted technology dunno what issue, and so one by one companies are forced to charge ppl if they use their programmes with certain encoding code including LAME...

there are still quite a number of non-LAME encoding though, and frankly, the difference between LAME encoding and other's like windows media player, creative media source and itunes cannot be heard (to me) when u encode above 128kbps...
