hey people i need some help. my MG30 has recently caused some problems to me. please refer to the following sound clip:

(if you want download the clip its probably cos i exceeded my bandwidth)
http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/2/18/791663/MIC-2007-10-22_18h58m18s.wav

when i turn on the switch after around 15-20 seconds this weird noise emits from it. i have tried turning it on with a cable and without a cable plugged in (with and without the guitar), with my pedal in and not in, and i have also tried changing power sockets for the amp. the noise is independent of the volume. it continues even when both my volume knobs are turned to 0.

any suggestions? the amp is barely 2 months old and its giving me problems. i cant send it back for repairs at davis because my receipt is already so faded that the only thing that is on the piece of paper is the faint outline of davis (though my warranty card clearly states that the warranty only expires 20/02/2008 ). and davis being davis will never service the amp since it is considered "cheap stuff" to them and since they are mostly stingy people there. (and since all 3 times i bought stuff from them their service sucked really badly, whether it was for their cheaper stuff or otherwise.)

any help would be greatly appreciated.

you bought it from davis, and it is under warranty.
you can go bring untold misery upon davis if they dont want to entertain you.

receipt's fading is unavoidable...but they have records of the serial numbers which is of cos stated on your warranty card...so they can always double check.

oh well i sure hope they will service it since they wrote the warranty card themselves. just wanted to make sure that i am able to service it without paying a fee since its only 2 months old. heart very pain.

and cos i am only able to bring it to service in 1 months' time, any suggestions what might be wrong with the amp?

thanks!

dude i have no idea about that problem but you shouldnt heistate going to davis although they may not have the best customer service. its your amp and you deserve to know if theres something wrong with it. Plus if their unwilling to entertain you, you can always drop a email to marshall and tell them their singapore dealer is unsatisfactory :D goooooo singapore

haha oh wells. hoping to avoid them but i guess i dont have a choice if im unwilling to pay more than the amp itself for repairs. i have emailed marshall about the problem but they have yet to reply. is it common for such things to happen (as in for marshall not to reply to their customers)?

hopefully davis will stop having such sucky service for once. i really heart pain for the amp.
