Hi all!

I have a Ibanez RG370DX.
I kinda irritated by the buzz
that it make. Tried to lower
and higher the pickups but it
still buzzes.
Currently using a 10-46 gauge
and drop D tuning.
Not sure whats the cause of it.
All i read is always cuz of the
pickup height. But its still the
same.

Any idea whats happening??
Really appreciate if someone
know and can make the buzz
go away...

Bro...

buzzing... is it buzzing at the frets (when you press the strings down & strum) or 'buzzing' when you are idle, not playing (in this case, it's called humming). i'm finding it difficult to associate any pickup issues with this because by default, our guitar strings do not come into contact with the pickups.

we note you detune your guitar, if there's slack there then fret buzz would be a natural entailment.

It happen when i press string down.
Ive read somewhere that its because
of pickup height. It happen when im
using standard tuning too. Tried other
strings like Pyramid, Dunlop, Gallistrings
but still have the buzz. Hmm... I wonder...

on which fret does it buzz? could be a neck relief issue.
if youre not familiar with truss rod adjustments, get it to a tech.

incidentally, my geet had the same prblm just recently.
all this while it was dead straight but maybe due to the weather changes we're experiencing lately, its gone concave and buzzes on the 7-10 frets (I set my action pretty low)
detuned, 1/4 turn anti-clockwise on the truss rod, let i settle for 30 mins, re-tuned and its solved.

... or a raised fret.

my 0.02 cts :)

Its after 10th fret onwards...
Its a fret buzz... The buzz when
you press a string on the fretboard.
Ya, maybe i shud go to a tech.

bro, where do you live? maybe i can help diagnose the situation for you. the thing with bringing your gear down to a tech is they might chage you even if there are no repairs done.

Woodlands... Nearest is SV guitars.
Furthest my friend ask to meet is
Bees. Cuz this is my first guitar with
floydrose. Maybe im going next month
cuz im changing my Strings(2mnths once),
Pots, 5way switch and jacks. Maybe a
Bareknuckle Warpig(wooo!).
Recently i tried to raise the pickups but
ended up i accidentaly took out the screw
and have to untune and put back the screw
which holds the pickup and its so frustrating!
Haha! Feel like throwing it out of my window!
But its fine now. Its just the buzz. Its when
you strike the E string at 10th fret onwards
and it will make a BBZZZZ sound after the
sound of the 10th fret striking.

bro, it's Beez, not Bees...

the bridge in your guitar isn't a Floyd Rose unit, it functions like one but it's not one. i own the Warpig (pic below) in one of my other Ibanez guitars, wasn't too thrilled but it's an above-average performer, definitely.

EDIT: the neck pickup there is also a Warpig...

If it's the thick E string, chances are it's buzzing at the guitar, not the amp....
But assuming that you do know what buzzing is, then your neck might be warped.

Oh ok, beez not bees.
I'll send it to a guitar tech and
see whats wrong. If not i just
sell it to cash converters and buy
new guitar.

See how it goes... Its kinda
irritating cuz wen the buzz
reaches the amp, it makes a
high pitch screech kind of sound.
Hmm... Wonder wonder why...

if you get someone to take a look at it maybe it will come to good. is this your first guitar with a dual-action whammy?

Yupz. Btw, i tuned it to Standard
and its gone! Dropped D and its
back again. Maybe its the string's
slack. Cuz i read review of this
guitar that it only can go 9-42
gauge. Mines only 10-46.
