Hi people,

Went down and collected my electric acoustic from Swee lee ytd. The salesperson threw in a cable like this, with only 1 insulating ring on both jacks. I suppose that means mono.

Still saving up for my amp. So before I purchase my amp, any idea how can I connect it to my PC. I tried the line-in jack on my laptop but there is no sound output.

Can I too, connect to my karaoke system in my living room which uses the following setup:
DVD Player -> Amp -> Speakers

Thank you.

Does your future amp have a headphone jack?

I tried it too, and found that it sounded better when it's guitar > amp > PC

The way i did it was that i used a quarter inch (read: big) jack to a standard speaker (read: headphones) jack connecter, about $2-$4 from Sim Lim Square, and a standard audio cable with two male heads, one side connected to the headphone jack on my amp.

With that setup, i can basically plug my guitar into everything...

Same goes for your speaker system.

pls elaborate on the term interface, thanks.
my problem is solved for now, because I could plug my electic acoustic in using the
[DVD Player -> Amp -> Speakers] setup.
