depends...some hate the sound of line6 modelling amps while others swear by it for bedroom and studio use. but marshall still gets my vote though. wait...are u going for ss or tube amps??

I got BlackStar HT 20 today :D I think they fix the clean tone issue on HT venue series, clean tone is a lot better than HT 5 but still no where near Mesa. But drive channel is very nice. I wanted the 80 Marshall tones in reasonable volume and this one has it. I just need to buy an overdrive pedal to push the tubes further. Sounds great with PRS Custom 22 and Gibson LP but with Ibanez guitars, it sounds pretty average.

o.O this one plays well at low volumes?? thats cool! :D

personally i'd go with the marshall. tested both line 6 and marshalls b4 in diff studios. the line 6 sounded very thin and trebbly and abit dull. the marshall sounded fuller. well i tested their 100watt amps but i think their smaller amps should be similar in comparison. =/

btw...vox has a pretty cheap tube amp combo going at ard 3XX. u'll need ur own pedals to drive it though. sounds good. the crunch was nice :D but anyway u'll still needa test all the amps to find ur preference :)

when it comes to Marshall, their tube & solidstate amps shouldn't be compared on par. same goes for the 'bigger' Marshalls- the drivers in use manifest a different voicing (to those of us who can hear this of course) compared to the smaller units.

^ hmmm i tested only the solid states...i've never tried tube amps of anything above 30 watts b4 lol. hmmm but i didnt know the higher wattage amps use diff drivers lol :p
