Need Help and advice

Currently using a custom eDrum (pads from a Yamaha DT series and brain from Roland).

Now my kids want to switch to acoustic as they prefer the natural feel and rebound of the acoustics.

Concern No. 1. What to brand to buy?

Saw one Baoija selling at SGD520, J&P selling @ SGD350.

Also saw one second hand Pearl Forum (though not sure if still available) @SGD380

Which one is a better brand to consider?

Next,

We are staying @ HDB.

Sounds wise, i can just mutes, right?

Hi,

I would recommend a Pearl Rhythm Traveller secondhand (~$300) BUT should take note that it comes with mesh pads new, so be sure to have them when buying secondhand. This is the set i was looking for last time and is great if volume is a problem.

I personally know an acoustic feels much more natural than an electric drumset, and would also say that the rhythm traveller due to its small size may not satisfy your children either. Bring them to try the sets if possible. If you prefer a fuller size, Pearl forum and Tama swingstars can be had secondhand for <$500.

That being said, if you mute an acoustic set, you will get no sound and hence perhaps 'no kick' out of playing. This is something to take into consideration as well. For me, my cousin has an acoustic set in a larger house so i go there sometimes to practice with a full, unmuffled acoustic set.
