need a matching bridge pickup

There are many options availble. FRED, Mo Joe, Breed, EVO, Steve's Special, D-Sonic. You could check Dimarzio site for more info.

I think thats more like, vintage voiced high output humbucker.

Vintage would be a PAF.
Thats true... u could get another PAF for ur bridge which is perfectly fine, but that'll be quite boring won't it?

everything is really fine, just depends on what u want since the PAF in ur neck is capable of doing almost all genres (i.e. not voiced specifically for metal or jazz).

the super distortion is like a fiercer version of the PAF. its vintage voiced and it can cover quite a large number of stuff. another close option is the breed bridge. its also a high output humbuker with a vintage voicing much like the super distortion.

i would suggest medium to high output humbuckers for bridge pups for the sake of versitality.

the Distortion is better for high octane drive settings, it can do a vintage semblance but not an excellent take. you'd be better off with something medium/ vintage output.

i have the PAF in my Ibanez (that yellow humbucker), despite its 'vintage' tag, it does high gain/ drive with ease.

oh no, i forgot to mention i wld prefer other brands as i dnt really like the sound dimarzio has for their bridge pickups. actually i like some of the SD models but not sure on how they will sound like paired with the PAF. other brand models recommendations r welcome too.

i usually play rock but sometimes would play some blues or jazz

Redname, how many Dimarzios have you tried? In the bridge....

At least we will know what you have tried and found lacking.

sorry to steal the thread,

but, whats the difference between hi-output pickups and low output pickups?
