Neck Thru

I am considering to get a Jackson between 2 models, a neckthru or bolt on. So I was wondering, in terms of maintainence, if a neckthrough neck warps, will the finish crack?
I realised many claim is much safer because the neck can be changed etc as I have read all over other forums. As for neck-thru I like it the same reason as many others do. Easier to reach the 24th fret, and looks nice for the one I'm considering because the neck finish is same as the body so they look together :p.

Well, from what I've heard neck-thrus have better sustain than bolt-ons and set-necks. The problem is that since in neck-thrus, the neck and a section of the body are from a single piece of wood, it is a lot more difficult to repair should the neck break.

The easiest to repair are bolt-on necks since you can just take off the neck and bolt-in another neck as a replacement. You can even switch out the neck to another if you want a change.

Also, some guitars with bolt-on necks don't have backplates (e.g. some Ibanez RGs) so this allows the heel to be shaped in such a way that you can easily reach the high frets comfortably.

I not very experienced in this but i have 2 guitars, one neck thru one bolt on.

Bolt on necks are easy to replace just like what eugene said.
but neck thru are Really great for sustain and feels great at higher frets

ah. Thanks for the replies man. Got it. Anyway I doubt I will damage the neck :S. Right that affirms my decision then. Thanks u guys..
