The title of this tread says it all.. :)

Anyway, i was smoking at Eunos interchange. And SO..out of negligence i threw my ciggies bud in the longkang. I was rushing to get the train. haha.rite.

THEN, " hello boy, NEA officer. Please follow me. whats your age?" my luck that i turned 18 last month. XD

"Do YOU know what u did wrong?"

OMG! Charged $200, but after negotiations.. i got LUCKY again..

He Let Me Off. and said " remember my face uh"

Any similiar experience?

ps: now i always look for a bin to throw my bud. better be safe than sorry.

damn i was so stupid man. haha i never really thought myself on this kind of situation.
 
Uh. not smoking but playing football under void deck. Got caught countless times..
Officers would ask to write down ic, name blah blah, then say " okay, you're lucky I good mood today, let you guys off, don't play here"
Always like that....
 
A couple of my friends got caught for trowing ciggy buds on the floor. I think they had to pay 200 bucks on the spot or something like that. Or they'll sent letter to your place...
 
I don think they send letters.. cause these offences are under "minor Offences" only.. hmm.. void deck also cannot.. haiyo.. lol

There was this once where my friends and I were playing soccer then there were coppers driving in a car to stop us. Being the young teenagers avoiding any reports to our school(we were playing in our school uniform) we ran from the coppers and went up a flat.

A few moments later, we thought that it was alright to leave already. Unluckily, the police car WITH the same officers came around again. Don't they even have other better crimes to crack?

Then yeah, the police were aggressive with their words and even threatened to hit us with the baton due to the fact that we ran away from them. They say that it's a grave offence to run away from them, cause it'll make us suspicious to illegal activities.

What the hell?! We were in school uniforms, how can we even be in the right mind to do illegal stuff when we're so vulnerable? I mean, if we were having some gang brawl and such in school uniforms, we'd be dumb.

And sometimes I wonder, why the police don't give a visit to those rowdy mats/bengs that sit under void decks in a big group and play handphone music loudly. Yes, they don't..cause I saw it before. Instead of them, I was the one that got asked for the IC. But that's another story.

Now now now, the home team still needs to find Mas Selamat.
 
Police are human afterall, they talk in a compromised manner to 'some people' real bengs and loaded people. And they talk in another way to insignificant people like those wearing school U and look nerdy.

but need to watch your north west south east when you smoke or posses illegal ciggys

eunos?east people.at west you can litter all you want.no body cares.really.even tho i dont smoke i litter quite a lot.gosh i feel guilty.but i dont litter huge stuff like packets of drink or a burger wrapper so time to cut down on littering.
 
Well, it happened to me only 3 weeks ago. I was at Woodlands MRT station. I was waiting for a friend and lighted a ciggarette to where the bins are. After my ciggie I thought of going to mall to catch some aircon as the day was really hot that day. So, I flick my ciggarette to the bin but it fell down instead but me being 'careless' just leave it. While walking to the mall someone tap me from the back real hard. I was really angry and thought someone trying to pick up a fight with me. So, I turn around and saw thing 'Ah Beng' looking guy. Without delay I gave him a punch and he fell. I was thinking of giving him another blow. But another guy came show me his pass that they are NEA officers. Of course the guy who got the punch wasn't too happy about it. But, I will never give in as he tap me from the back real hard. I don't intend to give him my IC but 2 policemen came along. They asked me what's going on. The NEA officer on the floor said I assaulted him and wanted to press charges against me. But the policemen are really being fair saying, they saw the whole thing. He caution the NEA officer for tapping me from the back. Even the police won't do such a thing. But the policemen said, no charges of assault are considered unless he takes in a lawyer.

Well, I have no choice but to give my IC to those NEA officer. Lucky them...and unlucky me for getting the S$200 fine. But at least, I got giving a punch for S$200. Hehehehe....!!! Well, I have to pay the fine before 15th April or else go to court. I'll wait till the 14th to pay for it. Hehehe....!!

how come your fine could be delay till so long?
my friend was caught and was given 2 hours to pay the fine on the spot.
his ic was hold back by the NEA officer till he pay the fine within the 2 hours window.
 
Not too sure. Maybe I'm a first timer being caught? Well, the fine slip says that I have to go to court on the 15th of April or can pay the compound which is $200 at any AXS machince before noon of the court hearing.

Note:
NEA officers has no right to hold to your IC for such reason. Unless the police who have more legal rights but still they can't hold your IC for petty crime if it's compoundable.

i enjoy my short conversations with him in Muhd Sultan, when he's on duty of course..

I'm not too sure about that. Maybe that offence is considered more that petty crime. But I think, he's lucky too for only a fine. One friend of mine got caught with contrabrand cigarettes and they(Customs officers) goes to his house to ransack for more. Instead they found illegal CD's, etc. He got altogether 15 charges. That's pretty scary. Didn't heard from him for sometimes. Maybe he goes to the 'Hotel California' at Queenstown. Hehehe...!!
 
wah thats bad enough.i always being precautious while smoking arnd public place like mrt station etc.don't want be next victim.as long no contraband and no littering.il be fine. ;)
