how can u snap such thick bass strings?

it's always the thinner strings, D or G. when playing hard. i'm sure entwistle broke lots of strings, he played like i do

You mean, you play like he did..

had a friend who once broke the E string.. but that was a freak accident.

hi, the snapping of string, reminds me of an incident at davis guitar. i took my bass there for a lowering of action and was told to collect after 30min. i came back to not only see my action as high as.... crap.. but i had to pay $5 as 1 of my strings snapped. i was like WTF? i went there instead of other better-known shops as it was free to service there and F it, my string snapped.

It's their fault what ... seriously ... if they want your business they should so some customer service that is appropriate ... last time Davis used to be really a place i wouldn't want to go ...

i still remember the times when i tried guitars and the sales person would just stand beside you staring at you ... 5 mins later .. "so how? want to buy"? ... and he'll just automatically unplug the guitar for you even though you haven't tried finish ... now .. THAT is annoying ...

but they improved over the past few years ... i think people have been complaining .. and i'm not the only one who experienced that lah .. but of late ... even the past two years i've been going to them .. all my experiences have improved my image of them. =) ...

The sales person will still stare at you ... at times ... but at least they don't unplug your bass automatically when you haven't finished or ask .. "so how? wanna buy?" ...

true, not being an ass, but the female salesperson r more frenly.. well, where else can we go? there is only afew shops around... and davis is the only that import japanese thingy...
