No, but I used to listen to Django Reinhart & Charlie Christian quite a lot for a short period of time when I started learning the guitar. I had a look at a few youtube videos of John Pizzarelli and he's quite an amazing guitarist - excellent left-hand and right-hand techniques.

Should check out his "Indiana" in the P.S. Mr Cole album. Ultimate battle between him and a pianist, with a hardworking bass player supporting them. lol...I always had fun listening to that.

Hi bro Plastic, the drums are samples (loops) from IK Multimedia. I layered 2 or 3 of them to create the drums you hear. Two guitars were used - the backing track does the bass and the other backing parts simultaneously, including some natural harmonics - fingerstyle technique. Main riffs including the cello mimic at the start were done with another guitar track.

I don't use drum machine thingies but I do recall a couple of threads on the topic. Try a search here at Soft. I'm sure you'll hit a few good bits or perhaps start a new thread.
